These two works were based on a simple sphere, which as it evolves comes to resemble a full moon, or a circular scientific Petri-dish. In the darkroom, the sphere was placed on gelatin paper, epeatedly exposed to light of the scanner, while each step in its progression was recorded. As the image darkened, it “eclipsed”, allowing the scanner to play an entral role in its evolution. This work is a search for an mage which like a living organism, will continue to develop beyond its creation.

By integrating standard dark-room procedures with more contemporary technological developments, my work seeks to re-establishes the historical connection between Art, 

Science and Technology which has been lost over time.
